Abilities May God continue to bless you as you stand for values and morals in our society today. Dr. Gary Chapman warns that we are in a generation that has no absolutes. His book "The Five Love Languages of Teenagers" one for children and marriages is great. Keep strong in your faith and reading your Bible. Satan will be throwing some big darts at you. Thank you for taking a stand. I have a sixteen year old, an eight year
old and a four year old. Sometimes my daughter's school thinks I am an
absolute alien for questioning anything they do. Thanks again!

Dear Miss Heaton,
Thank God there is one decent person in Hollywood who isn't enthralled with the filth that we are subjected to in our livingrooms.
My family doesn't talk, or live, like the lowest creatures in the world, and we refuse to let them into our livingroom, but we are appalled at the number of people who like all the toilet humor.
What ever happened to looking up to people and trying to be better ourselves. Of course, a man would never stand up and speak out, so I'm hoping that since you have broken the ice, maybe someone else will stick up for the good people of this country.
Thank you again.

I don't know if this note will actually get to Patricia, but I want her to know that I appreciate the stand she took at the 30th American Music Awards. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Frank Schoenig Just read in TV Guide about Patricia Heaton walking out during the awards show. Since my family does not watch that kind of garbage, it took awhile for us to find out about it.
HOORAY to one gutsy lady. This world needs more people like her to take a stand against immorality in the media. The 50's and 60's had great entertaining shows that did not stoop to such low levels of "entertainment" and the world was better for it. Society is going down the toilet because of crude, vulger "stars" that have such influence on people (mostly the young) today. And Dick Clark -- we're disappointed in you in producing some of this garbage. Walt Disney (whose Disney's Studios owns ABC) has been rolling over in his grave for years.
Again, HOORAY for Patricia Heaton.

Monroeville, NJI just wanted to join the choir of those singing praises to Ms. Heaton for the stand she recently took at the American Music Awards. We limit our TV watching mainly to news, as the innuendos and blatant vulgarity on today's shows are things we don't care to view. Thank you for taking this stand, Ms. Heaton, by having the intestinal fortitude to walk out of the awards show. Perhaps your actions will start a grass-roots stampede (or at least a campaign) toward returning TV watching into a family pleasure once again! Thanks again!!
